Baking a bread of seeds
I love baking! Especially if I know the result is healthy and delicious. My latest favourite recipe for healthy bread is full of fiber, good fats and it’s gluten, milk and yeast free. On top of everything it’s easy, so you don’t have to be a professional cheff to make it.
What I normally do is I make the dough ready in the evening, store it in the fridge over night and in the morning pre heat the oven and put the bread in while I walk my dogs. When we come back home there’s a great smell in the kitchen and we can enjoy our breakfast.
Here are the ingredients:
5 dl Low-Carb bread mix from Urtekram
4,5 dl gluten free oats
2 table spoons chia seeds
3 tbls psyllium husk powder
1-2 tsp sea salt
4,5 dl water
1 tbls honey
3 tbls extra virgen olive oil
Mix all the dry ingredients together in one bowl. In another bowl mix the honey and the oil in the water. Pour the liquid into the dry ingredients and mix the dough with care. Place the dough in a pan and leave it over night in the fridge.
Preheat the oven to 175 C degrees. Bake the bread in the center of the oven for the first 10-15 minutes. Remove the bread from the pan and place it upside down on the oven grid. Leave it in for another 40-50 minutes. Now take the dogs out and later enjoy the bread with organic butter and cheese!
TIP: In case you want to make this delicius bread a little faster, you can also leave it only for about 2 hours before baking it, instead of a whole night.
