Xylitol Sweetener is a white crystalline substance resembling and tasting like sugar. Xylitol has the same sweetening value as sugar with 40 % less calories. Xylitol is a sugar alcohol naturally found in trees, fibrous greens, fruits – and in the human body. The raw material for Xylitol is hardwood, mainly birch and beech. The product is used as a low-calorie sweetener for cooking and baking – as an excellent replacement for ‘ordinary’ sugar.
