Fenugreek is an annual herb originating in Western Asia. Fruits are small pods with 10-20 seeds each. All plant parts have a strong, spicy smell. Fresh shoots and dried seeds are used as a culinary spice – in itself or as part of spice mixtures. Fenugreek seeds are a fixed ingredient in curry – which exists in numerous variations, especially in India. When used by itself, fenugreek will leave a curry-like flavour.
Instructions for use and precautions:
½-1 tsp with water, juice, etc. with each main meal. Can also be used as a spice after grinding. For external use fenugreek seeds can be used as e.g. cover.
