Nutmeg is especially used in cheese dishes, milk-based sauces, cabbage dishes, potato and vegetable dishes. For example, lasagne, creamed white cabbage, and creamed spinach. But also, minced meat, sausages, and lamb are often seasoned with grated nutmeg.
